Tightsculpting®: Laser Body Sculpting and Skin Tightening

Fotona Tightsculpting® is dual-wavelength, non-invasive laser treatment for sculpting and skin tightening on all body areas. Procedure is fast, safe and effective with no consumables or downtime required.

1st Step: Deep skin tightening and fat reductions with PIANO® pulse which is a super long Nd:YAG pulse mode which is designed for homogenous tissue heating done comfortably, safely and rapidly by concentrating energy delivery to subcutaneously stimulate metabolism of fat cells, leaving the epidermis intact.

2nd Step: Improvement of skin surface laxity with SMOOTH® pule which consists of non-ablative Er:YAG SMOOTH® mode, ideal for skin tightening. The intense, controlled surface tissue heating stimulates collagen remodeling and initiates neocollagenesis. This results in an overall improvement of laxity and elasticity in the treatment areas.

Fotona4D®: Multiple Modalities for Enhanced Results

Fotona4D® is a non-surgical facelift procedure that results in a rejuvenated, natural-looking appearance. This is a non-invasive, safer anti-aging option that requires no surgery, needles or anesthesia and requires little to no downtime. Fotona4D® tightens and volumizes without the need for fillers or toxins, provides a full lifting treatment from the inside out, immediately rejuvenates, tightens, and creates a glow and improves skin complexion.

Fontona4D® consists of laser treatments of both the exterior facial and interior oral cavity and uses two laser wavelengths (Er:YAG and Nd:YAG) and 4 treatment modes that approach anti-aging from 4 different levels that work on the deeper, medial and superficial connective structure of the skin.

1st step: SmoothLiftin™ is a non-ablative Er:YAG intraoral treatment for controlled and gentle “bulk-heating” to stimulate collagen contraction. 3rd step: PIANO® is an ultra-long Nd:YAG pulse mode that causes bulk tissue heating safely and rapidly from the outside in by concentrating energy delivery subcutaneously.

4th step: SupErficial™ is a light cold Er:YAG ablation that gives a pearl finish to the skin and also improves the appearance of the skin, reducing imperfections by using propriety VSP technology. This enables the operator to easily adjust the laser to an extremely controlled light peel, without thermal effects, for a no-down time, precise treatment.

Scar Revision

Laser scar-revision treatments are minimally invasive with fast recovery times. For acne scars, Er:YAG skin resurfacing is used for gentle ablation of scar tissue and activation of collagen remodeling. For hypertrophic scars, Nd:YAG wavelengths show further improvement in the aesthetic appearance and overall tissue quality of a scar.

With Fotona’s dual-wavelength scar revision therapy, both nonablative Nd:YAG and fractional-ablative Er:YAG wavelengths are combined as part of a single scar treatment regimen with immediate visible results that surpass traditional laser based and conventional scar treatment techniques.

Onychomycosis: ClearSteps™ Laser Onychomycosis Treatment

Fotona’s ClearSteps™ Onychomycosis treatment is a patient friendly method for treating onychomycosis (toenail fungus). It uses the power of Nd:YAG laser light to heat evenly throughout the depth of the affected nail and skin tissue, effectively weakening and killing parasitic fungi which have infected the patient’s nail. The natural growth and immune processes of the body are then able to restore the nail to its pristine state.

ClearSteps™ is performed in three simple steps:
1st step: File down the nail which allows laser light to fully penetrate into the treatment site

2nd step: Administer Nd:YAG laser pulses in a circular pattern covering the entire nail. Patient should feel a slight heating sensation throughout the nail

3rd step: Target Nd:YAG laser pulses around the perimeter of the nail bed and around the finger or toe to reach the parasitic fungus that has worked its way beyond the nail bed and into the tissue.

ClearSteps™ treatment is performed four times at one week intervals. All nails should be treated during every treatment.

NightLase® Snoring & Apnea Treatment

Fotona’s NightLase® therapy is a non-invasive laser treatment for increasing the quality of a patient’s sleep by reducing the effects of sleep apnea and decreasing the amplitute of snoring. This is done by means of a gentle, laser-induced tightening effect caused by the contraction of collagen in the oral mucosa tissue.

This procedure is a simple two step process. Step 1 is preconditioning where the laser preheats the tissue and step 2 is tissue strengthening where the laser light strengthens the tissue. A full course of NightLase® consists of three separate treatment sessions over a six week period and the final results have been shown to last up to a year.

Permanent Hair Reduction: FRAC3® Hair Removal

Fotona’s high-performance Nd:YAG laser systems with FRAC3® technology provides safe and effective hair reduction that effectively targets hair follicles with a combination of selective and homogenous photothermolysis. This laser is safe to use on all skin types and effectively targets treatment areas while leaving surrounding tissues unaffected. The success of hair reduction treatments depends on a patient’s skin and hair type but most patient’s can expect a significant reduction in unwanted hair and any future hair growth will usually be thinner and lighter. Post treatment is not required and follicles treated in the anagen phase should fall out in around 2-3 weeks. The treatment schedule will depend on each individual’s hair growth cycle.

Pigmented Lesions: Fast, Simple and Minimally Invasive Treatment

Pigmented lesions are remarkably common and the overwhelming majority of them are benign such as freckles, age spots, birthmarks, moles, certain vascular lesions, ephelides, melasma, seborrheic and actinic keratoses. Laser removal works by destroying the pigment in the skin without the need for excision. This is completed in 3 simple steps:

1st step: Light absorption where the laser produces short nanosecond pulses of intense light that pass harmlessly through the top layers of the skin to be selectively absorbed by the melanin pigment in the lesion.

2nd step: Pigment break-up where the laser light is transformed into photoacoustic waves which mechanically break up the melanin pigment into smaller particles.

3rd step: Pigment removal where the particles are removed by the body’s own immune system as the skin’s macro-phages clear the excess pigment from the area.

Skin Resurfacing: TwinLight® Fractional Rejuvanation

The desire to stay forever young has created an enormous market for anti-aging treatments. Unlike traditional treatments such as dermabrasion and chemical peels, laser skin resurfacing allows for more accurate and precise control over the treatment process. TwinLight® Fractional Rejuvanation is performed in three simple steps:

1st step: Conditioning, where an Nd:YAG beam is passed along the surface twice. The first pass provides a short stimulus to the skin and the second pass penetrates the tissue causing deep FRAC3® heating and conditioning the skin.

2nd step: Fractional therapy where old, worn-out skin is ablated away by a fractional Er:YAG laser. The precise microablated channels will be replaced with new, tighter and healthy tissue as the new skin forms.

3rd step: Peeling happens when the skin is ablated with a light full Er:YAG bean which finishes the treatment and removes superfical imperfections.

SmoothEye®: Non-ablative Fotona SMOOTH® mode treatment for tightening of the periocular region

With Fotona SmoothEye™ there is immediate freshness and tightness of the periocular area. It stimulates collagen remodeling and initiates neocollagenesis with little to no downtime. Fotona SMOOTH® modality Er:YAG reduces wrinkles around the eyes in a non invasive appraoch. The non ablative Er:YAG SMOOTH® mode is applied to stimulate collagen remodeling and contraction. Vascular Lesions

Laser treatments are now a routine procedure for the removal of many types of vascular lesions, including hemangiomas, vascular malformations such as port-wine stains, telangiectasias, venous lakes and angiomas. Long pulse Nd:YAG lasers offer the perfect solution for treating vascular lesions. Fotona’s long pulse laser penetrates to a depth of 5-6 mm into the skin, allowing for highly effective treatments. The energy from the laser is absorbed by the blood in the vein, converted into heat and the vein walls are susequently destroyed. It also targets the underlying vascular feeding system, which is important for ensuring the long-term efficacy the treatment. The process is safe as other healthy veins supply blood to the treated area and the body’s immune system clears away the dead tissue just as with a bruise.
